Doraemon

Top - From Taiwan
Bottom - H&M
Belt - Aeropostale
Shoes - Skechers
Bag - Lapalette
Comfortable is the priority when it comes to outfit ideas and favourite styles. You can still look pretty cool when you are just wearing tee shirt and shorts.
Got this top at a bargain at one of the night markets in Taiwan and I love the flattering fit of the top. Paired up with this shorts from H&M and it is super comfy and versatile. When it comes to shoes, I am very particular because I have wide feet, so it takes me a long while to find that perfect pair of shoes. I bought this pair of Skechers high top sneakers a few years back and it still feels like walking on clouds every time I wear it. My favourite bagpack at the moment goes to this little blue thing from Lapalette. I can fit everything in here and people call me Doraemon.

You
Hi everyone, today's post is gonna be a little different. No pretty pictures but I hope you don't get too bored reading it and in some way or another, this post can motivate or inspire you.
If you have watched the movie Inside Out, you probably are able to categorize yourself easily. As for me, it's definitely going to be Sadness. People like myself will usually say "It's probably because I'm a Pisces and that explains why the mood swings and crazy emotions.", which we all know which month we were born in isn't really the problem here. And I do believe nobody is born to be a pessimist.
We feel down and demoralized when we had a bad day at work. When managers and bosses put you down, you start to doubt yourself that you are incapable and unfit for the job because other people could easily outperform you. Then you start to let vicious thoughts invade your mind, thinking about how useless you are and you are literally good at nothing. You dread work so much and all you are thinking about every morning is to tender your resignation and find a better job for yourself.
We threw temper at people we care about, hoping they will understand and shower you with love and concern no matter how ridiculous we behave. If they don't, we will start bawling our eyes out and be all sad and dramatic about how are we suppose to grow old alone.
Truth is, there are always gonna be moments like these at different phrases of our lives and it just so happens. Being happy should be our top priority and we shouldn't let other people or things to bother us and take away the well-deserved happiness away from us. I have a friend who has been unhappy for years now because of an unrequited love, which I have to admit I used to be in a similar situation and totally understand how that feels. It really sucks a big time. But we should never let people who don't give a shit about us to judge us and determine our self-worth. You definitely worth more than that.
One way to feel better about yourself is to take a break. Take one or two weeks off work or anything that caused your unhappiness and go book a flight to anywhere. Trust me, traveling to new places can make a difference to the way you think. If you are struggling with budget, you could go the beach or park to spend some quality time alone. Think about what you need in life and how you would want your life to be. Because at the end of the day, you are the one leading your life, you are the one who bring yourself to the place you wanna be. Don't forget all of you matter to someone in your life.

October favourites

October has offically ended (yay) and I'm really excited for November because I have some exciting events coming up! Before I rave non stop about my plans, here I have a couple of favourites for the month of October to share with you!

The Fifth Watches: New York Classic (SoHo)
I've got a mini obsession with watches this year. The New York range is the latest addition to The Fifth Watches family with a similar minimalistic design, simple yet elegant. You will never go wrong with this and it's perfect for any kind of outfits you decide to wear.
The New York series are designed to be lighter in weight and has a thinner face as compared to the Melbourne range. I know there are a lot of choices right now on the market but The Fifth is the only brand I'm constantly going back to. It is a staple piece and definitely a great addition to your watch collection!

Origins: Make A Difference - Plus + Rejuvenating Treatment Lotion
I have a combination skin, oily on the T-Zone and prone to breakouts, so when it comes to skincare, I always try to be careful about it. I've never used any Origins products before so I seek advice from the beauty consultant of Origins counter and decided to give this a shot.
The ingredients present in this oil-free lotion includes Rose of Jericho which helps to keep the moisture of our skin and I noticed my skin doesn't get that oily easily as it used to be which is something I am looking for. What I love about Origins is that the products do not contain any parabens or other harmful/ synthetic chemicals, which is absolutely a vital point to take note of when we are looking to get any skincare products. So far this treatment lotion has been keeping my skin clean and fresh, it definitely has met all my requirements. Love it.

Aesop: Shine
Like I mentioned in my previous Aesop post, this is definitely on my favourites list for the month of October! This hair serum works to keep my slightly damaged coloured hair moisturized and shine as the name of this product suggests. I am usually a very lazy person and I always find using hair serum/ oil/ mask a chore because they don't seem to be working at all. Now I am using this day plus night and my hair smells great all day long while this serum works its magic on my hair. I highly recommend this!

Zoella: Blissful Mistful
When I know Zoe Sugg's products range has been launched, I have been thinking about trying out her products ever since! As you know there's no way I could buy these products online and have them shipped here, when I saw the Zoella range shelf at Superdrug store in London earlier this year, I kind of went mad. I absolutely love this body mist, it smells like peaches to me and the packaging is just so pretty! It's a very decent body mist I would say for the price of about 12 pounds and it comes in a glass bottle. I'm saving this one for special occasions instead of daily use, until I could get hold of another one from my next trip to the UK!
Jo Malone: Wood Sage and Sea Salt Cologne
As you might have noticed that fragrances are currently dominating my life and I am madly in love with Jo Malone's Wood Sage & Sea Salt cologne! This is my go-to fragrance and I purchased another mini version to put in my essentials bag. I find that the scent is slightly musky but it has this elegant note to it. I am thinking of getting the Jo Malone's candle so my room can smell exactly the same. Gosh, I'm pretty obsessed.
What're your favourites for the month?

Classic mode

Last Saturday, I went to Universal Studios Singapore for Halloween horror night with my favourite person and it was one of my best days ever! I personally think that the horror night event at USS gets better each year and this year's event has 4 haunted houses and 3 scare zones, but we only managed to cover one of each because the crowd there was way too big. We made the craziest decision to queue for the MRT-themed haunted house and it took us almost three hours to finally reach the entrance of the house. Pretty surprised I would do that because I am not the most patient person in the world. But even though we were mostly standing and moving with the crowd (basically did nothing but waiting), I am happy to spend quality time with someone important.
This event is coming to an end this weekend, so if you want to experience a different halloween this year, go www.halloweenhorrornights.com.sg/ and book the tickets now!

Aēsop surprise

I've heard about Aesop's branding since seven years ago when I first started working part-time at a perfume boutique, but it's only a few weeks ago when I really stepped into the Aesop space and explore on their range. I love the usage of natural ingredients in their products and honestly, they all smell pretty amazing. (I have a weakness with nice-smelling products)
1) Geranium Leaf Body Balm
I absolutely love the herby scent of this body balm. It feels so therapeutic by just smelling it and this balm doesn't feel sticky when you applied it onto your body even though it has a relatively creamy texture. I used this balm to massage my dry feet and it works wonder, the skin doesn't peel like how it used to. So, so amazing. I usually apply it before I head to bed and morning before I go to work. It helps to keep my skin moisturized and protect my skin from dirty particles in the air around the city. This balm comes in two sizes and I got the smaller one to try it out. So far, I am not disappointed!
2) Shine
This is my favourite thing to apply on my hair now. If I am going to do a monthly favourites post, this will definitely be included in the list. Again, amazing scent and I love how much it helps to soften my hair slightly each day. Because I recently just dyed my hair, it has become really dry and gets kind of frustrating with the tangled hair. So, I'll just have to use about 3 drops of this magical elixir and rub into my hair day and night, I can totally feel the before-and-after difference. Mad love.
3) Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm
First thing I noticed about this hand lotion is the orangey scent. (It's always about the scent, isn't it?) The texture of this balm is really rich and I'm afraid that my hands will get this sticky/oily feeling for a long while once you applied it onto your hands. But not only it doesn't feel that way, my hands feel softer and so much more hydrated. As the directions stated, it can also be applied on your feet and personally I've not tried that before. I believe it works equally great like the Geranium Leaf Body Balm. This comes in two sizes as well and I got the 75ml for convenience purposes. It is my go-to hand balm and it is going to be stuck in my purse for a long long time.
I am pretty obsessed with Aesop's products right now and I was given a few samples for scalp and facial treatment. So excited to try them!
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!
